where and how to set the initial parameter "LARGE_POOL_SIZE"

I use connection pool cache to connect oracle
database8.1.7.I regularly get error ORA-04031.I
have known I should increase the value of
"LARGE_POOL_SIZE" by founding a *.ora file,but I
don't know which filefold this file should put
inside.
Thanks for the person can tell me in detail
steps or give me some references.

As this question has no connection with Java, it was not appropriate in
this group (you should've posted it to a group dealing with Oracle
database products).

Anyway, $ORACLE_HOME/dbs/init<INSTANCE>.ora is where you want to add
the parameter.
