JacOrb Multihomed server

Thread view:
Ruediger Hars - 13 Jan 2004 16:03 GMT
Hi everybody,

we have problems running a corba-server on a multi-homed Win2k-Box.
The machine has two network-cards. JacOrb is using the wrong IPAddress
for IOR's.
I tried the property OAIAddr. Only setting the property to 127.0.0.1
and running server and client on the same machine was successful.
Using the real address failed.

Does anyone have an advise for me ?

Thanks in advance
Ruediger

Hi,

a good place to ask questions like these is the jacorb-developer
mailing list. Please see http://www.jacorb.org/contact.html for
subscription information.

WRT your question: You need to set the OAIAddr property to 0.0.0.0.

Cheers, Gerald.

Sorry,

I did not read your original question carefully enough: the way
you tried it should work!

Please:

- indicate which JacORB version you are using
- turn on some debug information to determine which IP address
the ORB uses to open listener sockets
- take this discussion to the relevant mailing list (see separate
 posting).

Cheers, Gerald.
