What is a good failover mechanism for the Trading Service?

Thread view:

I'm puzzled with this question, and I'm looking for suggestion.
I'm currently using JacORB.

My question is let say I have 2 trading services running on two
different host.  One serves as the primary trading service and the
other one serves as a backup trading service.  Now, how do the client
failover to the backup trading service when the primary trading
service failed or crashed?

I had look into the multi-profile which I identify 2 corbaloc in the
ORBInitRef by seperating them using a comma, but it seems like that it
doesn't work with JacORB unless I had made a mistake on my example.  I
tested it with the naming service and the grid example provided from
JacORB.  I assumed that the failover mechanism for the trading service
and the naming service should be very familiar.

I had also looked into the FTORB which provided from Eternal System,
but from what I read, it seems like the product does not support
JacORB.

Any suggestion on what I should look into?

Thanks!

Yeah, look into NSDOM on the HP NonStop. Fail-over happens in a manner that
is transparent to CORBA. Protected and replicated databases. NYBOT did this
(but not with CORBA) and survived a building falling on the primary site.
