ZeroC, Inc. is pleased to announce the availability of the Internet
Communications Engine (Ice), version 1.3.0.
Changes since version 1.2.0 include:
* A new set of tools, known collectively as FreezeScript, for inspecting
and migrating Freeze databases.
* Windows support for the IcePack and Glacier services.
* New platform support for Windows 9x/ME, HP-UX and MacOS X.
* Numerous other improvements and bug fixes.

In addition to traditional proprietary licensing models for commercial

Is Ice in any way connected to Corba? Is it based upon CORBA specification?
Cause it seems to me that Ice is completely different product with it's own
specification and tools. Is that true?
