I read somewhere that java3D is no longer been developed and looked
better to use Jogl.  Could anyone tell me whats happening with it.

I'm pretty sure its still being developed, as a matter of fact theres a beta
version of 1.4 out right now and the final version should be released soon.
As for Jogl from what I've read its a very different thing. Its basically a
low-level interface between Java and OpenGL, completely lacking the whole
SceneGraph structure that comes with Java 3D, so its not really a
replacement, its a completely different thing.
