Retrieving 3D coordinates of a Box

Thread view:

Hi,

I have two points that i'd greatly appreciate some help with. I'm
creating just a simple wireframe Box and on a MouseClick im adding it
to the scene. Ive got PickRotateBehavior, PickTranslateBehaviour and
PickZoomBehavior acting on the box so that it moves/spins etc..

My queries are as follows:

1) How to get the 3D coordinates of each of the corners of the box ,
and

2) Once having got the 3D coordinates, how can i convert them into 2D
screen coordinates for later use.

Am i able to do this with a Primitive box? or do i have to build a cube
using some other method like IndexedFaceSet? I cant seem to find a
suitable method in the API so any suggestions would be very welcome.

Many thanks,
Craig D.

Are the Rotate, Translate, and Zoom already implemented?  How do those
methods store information about the box?  What are the parameters of the
box?  Are the lines always at right angles?  What is the axis of rotation?
Freeform?

I am obviously not as familiar with the API as you, but I've had
Multivariable and Vector Calculus along with Partial Differential
Equations.  In short, I can play with pretty messy Geometries like those
involved in Special Relativity.  I would like to help but I don't know
what you are working with.
