I am interested in developing graphics/animation. Can you please give a
brief comparison between blender and java3d? Pros and cons?
Thanks,

As I know... they have little in common.
For me, Blender is a modeller, it allows you to create shapes and
textured objects ; and Java3D is a language which might use Blender
files to produce interactive 3D applications.

Thanks. So it appears its an apples and oranges comparison.

Actually, that's not the full story, as Blender, apparently, is also a
gaming engine. As such, it should be capable of producing interactive 3D
applications just like Java3D. I do not know very much about Blender,
unfortunately, but there are various community sites on the web where
one could ask for more info.

Welcome in the Blender forum !

Yes, it's an interesting topic. It's a long time I want to start playing
with Java3D or Blender's gaming module, but I still hesitate about wich
one...
As I know is that Blender uses Python.

if it can help...
