Hey all,
Could anyone recommend some good books on Java 3D for a newcomer. I have
plenty of experience with 3D graphics generally, including OpenGL and
Direct3D, so I don't want to be bored by the details of transformation
matrices and vectors etc. but would like to be introduced to the ideas of
the Java 3D API, preferably all of it, without spending too much time on the
basics, such as what textures are, theory behind lighting models etc.
Thanks,
Richard Asbury

is the book you might want to check it out. Scroll down to English version,
"Java3D programming" book is what you might be looking for. I have yet to see
that one heck of marvelous book.
I am starting to fall in love with Java3D - like in:
http://www.frontiernet.net/~imaging/photo_cube.html (photo cube rotating, in
Java3D)
http://www.frontiernet.net/~imaging/java3dviewer.html (3D java viewer with
geometric objects to rotate about)
http://www.inicia.es/de/avillanueva/ (3D solar system simulator in Java3D)
Fascinating Java3D demos.
this is my first reply to someone in comp.lang.java.3d newsgroup here. :o)
