Is Java3D part of the JDK 1.4 ?

Hi !

Is Java3d part of the jdk 1.4 ? If it is not is it easy to
install ? I want to write an application that may depend on Java3d but
that has to be deployed to thousands of users.
Also, very important: is this library the future of 3d in Java
or there exists something better already ?

Regards,
Razvan

No its not part of 1.4 jdk.
Yes it is easy to install (Should find ure jdk installtion automatically)
And IMHO J3d is the best 3d for java.(Wat else did u expect me to say :) )

That is not so good. Some users are that dumb that they are
unable to install anything. If you plan to distribute an application
to thousands of users this will create problems. Is it any chance that
this library will be std in the new jdk ?
Here the right answer could be: "How the f**k should I know
?!" ::))

      Any second opinions ?!

Yes the right answer is How the F**K should i know..... but maybe the
question would be better presented to sun representatives, after all they
Should know ?
Also if enough people present them with this question or simply ask them
todo this (Not a bad idea, I shall present sun with this question myself)
maybe they will :).

Can't you just package the J3D runtimes with your application? Or are they
too big?
